homework: English - war posters

Hi there :)
Finally, in Year 10 -.- The work load increased a lot of Y9, even walking to classes seem more tiring...

My 2nd English homework in the year is --->

Create your own war propaganda poster, using the techniques feedback in the last two lessons:
- use of colour
- vocabulary
- persuasive technniques
- space
- images
- font size and shape

Please complete on paper (you can either draw or complete using ICT).

And...it's due tomorrow...and at 9:15, I just completed it ^^" Yes, I know...last minute ._.

Now...posting to help those who may get this homework in the future...

My notes from when we were feedbacking and looking through war posters in class:
(These are notes for specific posters that we looked at so if they don't make sense, try imagining the poster?)

PROPAGANDA = manipulative, deliberately altering a group opinion to go against another group. Spin/skewed information. Untruths with truths. Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

THE POSTER I GOT ->
WORDS = 'brave' men to show that brave men join the war, manipulating them into thinking that you'll only be brave if you join...and of course...all men want to be brave to attract the LADIES :D
TECHNIQUE = Manipulating them into thinking that joining the war would make them brave.

WORDS = 'Every' tells us that 'if you don't join, you aren't fit and brave' as stated on the poster. And yes, the LADIES do love fit and brave men...(at that time...)

COLOR = The color of the poster matches the color of the soldier's uniforms becoming even more eye-catching and inspiring as well as giving a genuine aura and feeling of being in the army. The pride of it.

PHOTO = It shows men riding horses in action at war, depicting a picture of facing action and power! (And not actually being stuck in trenches like the stories say.)

FONT = Capitals are used to emphasize and make certain words stand our especially words like "FRONT ROW" to implicate that people who join would have the honor of facing war first hand. Or something like that -.-" Also makes it eye-catching and using a color in contrast to the background makes it all pretty ;D

EFFECT = The poster was and is effective because of the photo...(What else to say?)

WORDS = "At the front" makes it seem honorable...duty and pride. Plus, it was in capitals...

OTHER PEOPLE'S POSTERS -

-To get people thinking about rhetorical questions.
-Depict countryside that soldiers would want to protect by going to war.
-What you have to do to be a MAN...
-Soldiers standing upright = glory.
-Everything is in yellow except the flag...which makes it stand out...
-Have stories to tell children...
-To protect the women who give birth and children. like young boys will take an example from older men.
-Have more respect for young boys because they will have become real me by going to war.
-Being targeted makes men want to go out to fight.
